Analyst, Schooling Data & Insights
About the role
The Role Use AI to do everything. You build, analyze, prototype, and clean data with the full AI toolkit (Cursor and beyond). AI isn’t a side tool here — it’s how one person does the work of a whole team, and how we move at the speed leadership needs.
Build the visualizations the network runs on. Interactive reports and dashboards that take a pile of scholar data and tell a clear story — exam results, school and teacher performance, readiness over time.
Design the methodology underneath. Take an ambiguous question — how do we fairly rank schools that give different mixes of exams? — and build a fair, defensible way to answer it. This is the reasoning core of the job.
Get real data into shape. Pull the exports, point AI at the grunt work of cleaning and deduping, then QA every number against the source before it goes anywhere.
Distill for executives. Turn the analysis into plain-English takeaways and a recommendation. If a smart 8th grader couldn’t follow it, it’s not done.
Partner across the org. Work with the data and learning teams to get what you need, and present to senior leaders.
Requirements
We care about how you think, not where you’ve been. Specifically: Reasoning, first and foremost. You can take a vague, tangled question and turn it into a clean, structured analysis. This is the one thing we can’t teach.
AI-native. You reach for AI tools by default and learn new ones fast.
Clear communicator. You can explain a complex result simply, in writing and out loud, and hold your own in a room with leaders.
Design instinct. A feel for simplicity and clarity — you know the difference between a busy chart and one that lands.
High agency, low ego. You take a problem from question to answer end-to-end, and no task is beneath you.
Quantitatively fluent. Comfortable in data; can teach yourself the tools and domain you don’t already know.
Non-traditional paths welcome.
