About the role

As an Analyst Quality Engineer, you’ll be part of our Manufacturing Operations team working onsite in Jackson, TN. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship (H1B, OPT/CPT, TN, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Fully support and comply with the SFS objectives and projects.
• Assist Engineering in defining and maintaining all specifications (Raw, in-process, and Finished Goods).
• Communicate quality standards to manufacturing and quality auditors.
• Assist with the development of D&I&M FMEA for all processes.
• Perform PPAPs (SQA-015 Quality Book).
• Define, establish, implement, train, and monitor quality plans for incoming inspection, in-process inspections, and finished goods inspections, including test equipment, gages, inspection procedures, frequency of inspections, forms, records, boundary samples, masters, and visual aids.
• Perform all measurement systems analysis (MSAs).
• Coordinate and communicate all quality issues to appropriate personnel and assist in establishing countermeasures.
• Manage day-to-day quality issues on the production floor.
• Maintain quality standards of parts produced in the area, including monitoring quality indicators, instilling a quality-minded attitude, working with the Value Stream on problem areas, and addressing scrap/rework figures.
• Maintain IMDS and monitor/develop supplier quality.
• Lead sorting activities and disposition of suspect product.
• Improve First Pass-Defective Parts per Million and Scrap % metrics.
• Drive root cause corrective action on identified issues (customer complaints, supplier quality, manufacturing quality, and management systems).
• Adhere to all ISO requirements and oversee ISO 9000 paperwork, including Process Guarantee Sheets, FSA audit Plans, and Gage Calibration.
• Assist in management of departmental spending by monitoring reports to identify unfavorable variances and spending reduction opportunities.
• Understand and follow the Jackson site’s environmental policy and the environmental impacts associated with work activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; or Associate’s degree with technical focus; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of applicable experience.
• Knowledge of gaging and inspection techniques, including GD&T.
• Proficient in system/process improvement tools (SPC, FMEA, DOE, 8D, TQM, Lean, PPAP, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong decision-making skills.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $56,000.00 - $90,200.00 annually. The salary offered may vary based on job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and local wage requirements.
