The role involves using MRP data and customer information to execute the timely purchase and receipt of materials, identifying cost savings opportunities, and managing inventory levels.
Responsibilities
- Timely procurement and release of materials to meet customer delivery requirements
- Maintain ERP Item and Supplier Master Data to ensure accuracy
- Responsible for all issues related to procured items, including rejects, returns, pricing, and freight claims
- Recommend items for disposition due to inactivity or expiration
- Expedite material receipts to meet changes in schedule
- Assist Costing Department in obtaining material cost quotes
- Maintain item pricing and supplier files
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The minimum qualifications for this role include a business degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, and at least two years of experience using MRP in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
