Analyst,Patient Relations

Responsibilities

• Aid patients in understanding their medicare and insurance options.
• Navigate insurance issues, including coverage, benefits, summaries, and eligibility.
• Help patients resolve medical bills both inside and outside of Oak Street Health.
• Advocate for patients by communicating with the care team and outreach team.
• Manage the welcome visit and orientation process for new Oak Street Health patients.
• Inform patients about applying for public benefits, such as Public Aid, and Extra Help for prescription drugs.
• Support the clinic management team on operational activities, including scheduling and billing.
• Provide exceptional customer service and foster patient engagement through events.
• Handle other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Gmail, MS Word or Google Docs, Excel, etc.
• US work authorization.
• Strongly preferred qualifications include proficiency in non-English languages like Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by people in the communities we serve.
• Prior experience with helping patients or customers understand their insurance coverage.
• A passion for working with others to create an unmatched patient experience.
• A problem-solving orientation and a flexible and positive attitude.
• Experience in sales background preferred.
• Experience helping patients navigate the healthcare system, especially related to Medicare and managed care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $21.10 - $36.78. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
