Analyst - Legal Operations (Labor & Employment)

Elevate is recruiting a temporary Legal Operations Analyst to join our Legal Operations team. You will implement legal operations services for our customer, providing operational support, collecting data in the context of legal matters, and maintaining compliance with customer litigation handling guidelines under tight deadlines.

About the role

This role involves working with the customer's technology and following detailed playbooks and processes within a specific workstream. The work is high-volume, requiring strong organizational skills to juggle multiple matters simultaneously. The ability to learn and adapt to the customer's technology is crucial. You will be part of a team responding to a high volume of labor and employment requests/matters.

Responsibilities

  • Handle high-volume employment cases by collecting critical data through various customer systems.
  • Set and maintain high standards of professional service.
  • Review discrimination charges, employment demands, and related filings.
  • Follow processes and playbooks.
  • Interface with the broader team, customer systems, and custodians to ensure compliance with orders and gather discovery responses.
  • Communicate with counsel.
  • Assist with reporting, gathering metrics, and process improvement.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in U.S. Litigation.
  • Experience in labor and employment law is highly preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience using technology in a highly processed area, preferably including experience handling subpoena responses and/or employment charges/demands.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills, able to professionally interface with customers, litigants' counsel, and internal managers.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Strong analytical experience and willingness to learn new techniques.
  • Ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously with strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume environment.
  • Experience working with remote team members using technology (video calls, emails, team chats).
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Team player, able to assist others as needed.
  • Flexible and open to learning new areas.
  • Self-directed, able to work independently to meet and exceed goals.
  • Excited to learn, grow, and take on new responsibilities.
  • Interest in working in a fast-paced, innovative legal environment.

Technical Skills

  • Experience with M365: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with web-based applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or associate degree required.
  • Paralegal certificate is a plus but not required.

Pay

The pay rate for this remote-based role is $70,000–$75,000/year based on job-related skills, experience, level, and location.
