Analyst - Lease Crude

About the role

This is an entry-level position within the Lease Acquisition Marketing Group that supports Account Managers in researching oil purchase and competitor economics.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support to the Account Managers.
• Prepare economic analysis, communicate and track nominations.
• Interface with trucking, accounting, division order, and support customer service.
• Maintain customer relationships and resolve issues through frequent communication.
• Reconcile differences in real-time production volumes versus the nominated volume to increase confidence in the monthly forecast communicated to the trading team.
• Review and monitor various research databases for possible new customer opportunities and communicate findings to account managers.
• Perform tasks requiring strong verbal communication skills.
• Complete special projects as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or Business Administration or other related fields) or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven analytical skills and proficient computer applications knowledge.
• Excellent prioritization and time management skills; detail and deadline-oriented.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently without close supervision.
• Ability to assemble and present marketing data to both internal and external customers.
• Perform accurate administrative functions and work effectively with all departments.
• Extensive customer communication either in person or by phone.
