ACPWB is looking for an Analyst I, Stakeholder Analytics with a genuine interest in compensation benchmarking and market pricing and the discipline to develop professional-grade analytical skills. The ACPWB Analyst Development Program provides structure, while your Director offers context—everything else is up to you.

About the role

ACPWB is hiring an Analyst I, Stakeholder Analytics to support a Research & Analytics team of 12 analysts and associates. If you are early in your career and want to learn compensation benchmarking and market pricing at a firm that takes the craft seriously, this role was designed for you. You will be mentored by a Director and participate in the ACPWB Analyst Development Program from your first day.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and verify data in ACPWB's compensation benchmarking databases under the supervision of a Director
  • Support the collection and organization of proxy statement and SEC filing data
  • Contribute to the development of standard templates and analytical tools used by the Research & Analytics team
  • Prepare internal reference documents and research summaries for use by engagement teams
  • Perform quality-control checks on analytical models produced by senior team members

Qualifications

Required

  • Demonstrated ability to manage time, prioritize competing tasks, and meet deadlines without constant supervision
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Psychology, or a related analytical discipline
  • Willingness to pursue CCP or other professional certifications as part of your development at ACPWB
  • Interest in compensation, human capital, or workforce research as a professional focus
  • Strong academic record, particularly in quantitative coursework
  • GPA of 3.3 or above, or equivalent demonstrated academic performance

Preferred

  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development, including self-directed learning
  • Experience with survey research methods or primary data collection
  • Interest in Milwaukee and the Midwest as a place to build a professional career

Why ACPWB

Our culture is one of intellectual honesty, high standards, and what we describe internally as "aggressive collaboration"—a phrase that means we challenge each other's thinking constructively and support each other's success unconditionally. ACPWB was founded in Milwaukee in 2006 with a simple mandate: help working Americans understand and advocate for the compensation they deserve. Eighteen years later, that mandate has grown into a full-service research and advisory practice serving clients from early-stage employers to Fortune 50 enterprises—and we are still based in Milwaukee, because Milwaukee is genuinely underrated.

Interview Process

The process consists of two substantive interviews: a 60-minute first round with the hiring manager, and a final panel with three to four members including a cross-practice representative. We do not use puzzles, trick questions, or algorithmic assessments. We ask about real work and real decisions.

What Success Looks Like in Year One

  • Ask good questions consistently—about methodology, about client context, about why we do things the way we do
  • Take ownership of at least one recurring team responsibility—a data update, a tracking log, a template—and execute it reliably
  • Shadow at least two client-facing interactions to build understanding of how ACPWB presents its work
