ANALYST I
About the role
The State of California is seeking a Contract Analyst I to join the Contracts Services Group. This position is headquartered in Sacramento at the New Labor Agency Building (NLAB), a modern high-rise building in downtown Sacramento. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for some remote work.
Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare a diverse workload of contractual agreements ranging from routine to moderately technical and complex.
- Ensure contracts and procurements comply with all applicable laws, regulations, procedures, and department guidelines.
- Perform less complex duties relating to contracts, including business process improvement, documentation, policy and procedure development, training development, and change management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience in contract administration or procurement.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
Must be a resident of California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to the office at least four days per week beginning July 1, 2026.

Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary range of $3,861.00 - $6,276.00 B, depending on experience. The position is classified as ANALYST I, with potential for advancement to ANALYST II.
Pay
The starting salary for this position is $3,861.00 - $4,839.00 A, with potential for higher ranges based on experience.
Schedule
This is a hybrid position located in Sacramento, CA. Employees are expected to report to the office at least four days per week beginning July 1, 2026.
