ANALYST I
About the role
The Budgets Analyst I and Analyst II positions under the direction of the Correctional Business Manager I monitor the fiscal operations of the institution. The Analyst I prepares monthly fiscal projections and various budgetary schedules, while the Analyst II coordinates all aspects of accounting, statistical data, and analytical reporting.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and prepare monthly fiscal projections and budgetary schedules.
- Coordinate budgetary and staffing issues between the Accounting and Personnel Assignment Offices.
- Track, review, and analyze the institutional budget and associated costs.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of costs to ensure proper reflection in the systems.
Requirements
Requires a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field, plus one year of experience in budget preparation and analysis, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications
Must possess a valid California driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
