ANALYST I
About the role
The State of California seeks to hire an Analyst I to provide technical expertise in various administrative activities within the Toll Bridge Region. This position involves accurate recording, logging, monitoring, and tracking of employee work hours for 160+ employees across Bargaining Units 12 and 13.
Responsibilities
- Accurately record, log, monitor, and track employee work hours within the Toll Bridge Region.
- Perform Timekeeping, Payroll, and Overtime analysis for Bargaining Unit 12 and 13.
- Run MERSI monthly for Bargaining Unit 12 and bi-monthly for Bargaining Unit 13.
- Work closely with Personnel Specialists, Staff Central/TOPPS Administration, and IMMS Administrative Coordinators.
- Use data from several databases and maintenance programs to develop and maintain spreadsheets or databases for real-time monitoring.
- Compile results and provide written reports and presentations to management.
- Review and analyze organizational concepts and classification changes, consult, and make recommendations.
- Provide monthly, annual, fiscal budgetary, and personnel reports.
- Assist with FMLA, SDI, NDI, and Catastrophic Leave.
- Occasionally travel for office coverage or overnight stays due to training purposes.
- Provide direct administrative support to the Toll Bridge Region.
Requirements
This position requires the ability to comprehend and implement the Staff Central timekeeping computer program and the IMMS tracking system. The incumbent must possess the Minimum Qualifications as outlined in the Classification Specification.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications include possession of a valid California Driver's License and a high school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Knowledge of payroll systems and timekeeping software is preferred.
Skills
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.

Pay
The starting salary for this position ranges from $3,861.00 to $6,464.00 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
