Analyst, Freight Forwarding Operations

Our Global Logistics and Distribution business unit provides comprehensive logistics services and warehousing solutions utilizing a global network of distribution centers, innovative technology and supply chain expertise to manage the flow of goods from receiving to storage and order processing to shipment.

The position supports the movement and growth opportunities for inbound and outbound cargo for freight forwarding customers. Ensures that freight is processed in compliance with governmental regulations (e.g., Federal Aviation Administration, Transportation Security Administration, etc.). Collaborates with vendors, customers, commercial airline carriers, ocean freightliners, and other internal support groups for the movement of international and domestic air and ocean shipments.

Responsibilities

Provides specific functional expertise that is theoretical and conceptual in nature. Applies working knowledge of theories, practices, and/or procedures within job discipline. Broadens capabilities and understanding of the company processes, and customers. Performs mostly routine assignments and resolves common issues by using precedents or seeking guidance. Assesses straightforward problems and proposes solutions based on analysis of factual information, experience, judgment, and precedents.

Requirements

• Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job

Qualifications

Typically requires a four-year degree or equivalent experience. Entry-level to UPS’s professional career track.

Skills

Provides specific functional expertise that is theoretical and conceptual in nature. This expertise is typically acquired through a combination of university education and experience within a field.

Schedule

The position follows a schedule that could include two shifts, overtime, and weekend work as needed.
