Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze financial data, including budgets, revenue, and expenses, to support decision-making.
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and budgeting.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and grant reporting requirements.
- Aid with grant/contract applications and recommend financial process improvements.
- Develop detailed monthly financial reporting of program and department performance.
- Track and monitor restricted and unrestricted funding streams in compliance with financial reporting.
- Generate submission of grant/contract budget modifications to meet quick turnaround requests and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively across program and departments to provide business partner support.
- Maintain data governance across agency to ensure consistent data sharing follows best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in accounting or financial analysis.
- Experience with budget development, financial forecasting, and internal/external reporting.
- General knowledge of payroll processes and related reporting.
- Nonprofit finance experience strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and clearly present financial data to diverse audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Clear and effective communicator with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems preferred.
- Experience with Abila and Concur strongly preferred; familiarity with Paycom also preferred.
Supervision
- Occasional supervision of interns and volunteers.
- Reports to Finance Manager.
