Analyst, Environmental Reporting
About the role
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with product data and large spreadsheets to help support environmental and sustainability reporting. In this role, you will review and clean up Bill of Materials (BOM) data, ensure product information is accurate and complete, and help connect product materials to environmental and recycled-content databases. Your work will help calculate the environmental impact and carbon footprint of products.
Responsibilities
- Review and clean BOM (Bill of Materials) data
- Validate parts, materials, and product information for accuracy
- Identify missing or incorrect data and resolve data quality issues
- Ensure BOMs are complete and that material weights reconcile correctly
- Map materials and components to environmental and recycled-content datasets
- Use Excel, SQL, Python, or similar tools to automate repetitive data tasks
- Support environmental, sustainability, and compliance reporting
- Document processes and improve workflows
- Work closely with engineering, supply chain, procurement, and sustainability teams
Requirements
- Experience working with BOMs, product data, or manufacturing data
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and basic data analysis
- Understanding of materials, supply chain, or procurement processes
- Experience improving data quality and validating large datasets
- Ability to use SQL, Python, or similar tools for data manipulation and automation
Nice to Have
- Experience with environmental, sustainability, or carbon reporting
- Knowledge of lifecycle assessment (LCA) or environmental data
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract, hybrid position based in Cupertino, CA.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
