About the role
The role is within an established $1B+ NYC-based fund that specializes in distressed and event-driven investing. The fund employs an activist strategy in distressed situations and leverages opportunities across the capital structure through long and short equity and credit positions. With a small team relative to assets under management (AUM), the analyst works directly with the founder in a flat organizational structure without bureaucracy.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough financial analysis on distressed companies
- Develop and implement strategies to improve company performance
- Work closely with the founding team to drive investment decisions
- Collaborate with other team members to maximize returns
Requirements
- 2-3 years of post-college experience, preferably from a Restructuring Advisory Analyst program, distressed desk, or credit fund
- Outstanding analytical skills
- Detail-oriented mindset
- Affable personality
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
