Investment Analyst, Distressed/Special Situations Fund

About the role

The ideal candidate will join a small, highly regarded team of senior investment professionals managing a distressed credit fund with over $3.5 billion in assets under management. The fund specializes in various strategies such as cross capital structure, public credit, mispriced stressed credits, idiosyncratic situations, misunderstood performing credits, litigation and process-driven distressed, restructurings, and equity.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough financial analysis and modeling
  • Read and understand complex financial statements and market conditions
  • Show exceptional critical thinking and intellectual curiosity
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders

Requirements

  • At least 8-15 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in public distressed or special situations investing
  • Outstanding modeling and financial analysis skills
  • Excellent critical reading and comprehension abilities
  • Strong communication skills

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Benefits

  • Base Salary: $250,000+
  • No deferrals for bonuses
