Location: Minneapolis, MN or Chicago, IL. This job requires permanent US work authorization; we are unable to accept candidates with temporary work authorization (e.g., CPT, OPT) or those who will require work visa sponsorship now or in the future.

About The Role

The Analyst, Digital Marketing & Measurement is an early-stage, leadership role at a fast-growing company with high standards for talent, fun, and client success. The right candidate will be highly analytical, with strong critical thinking skills and a drive to deliver results for our clients. Analysts are paired with a Digital Marketing & Measurement business area aligned with their skills and interests, performing data analysis and managing media programs.

The Analyst Experience

  • Assigned to one primary focus area (e.g., Marketing Strategy, Analytics & Activation) with opportunities to gain cross-functional experience.
  • Focus areas determined collectively and shared 1-2 weeks before start date.
  • Robust onboarding bootcamp covering Ovative’s business, history, and vision.
  • Opportunities to meet with senior leaders for project work and informational interviews.

Responsibilities

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Develop competence in a specific Ovative subject matter (e.g., media, measurement, strategy).
  • Hands-on digital media planning, execution, and optimization, including:
    • A/B testing and landing page testing recommendations.
    • On-page and off-page optimization.
    • Weekly and monthly reporting, budget and goal pacing.
    • Creative builds, testing, and optimization.
    • Audience creation and optimization, promotion support.
  • Heavy data analysis, reporting, and insights of digital media performance.
  • Cross-channel campaign planning, strategy, documentation, execution, and optimization.
  • Structured Problem-Solving, Analysis & Communication:
    • Execute analyses using tools like Excel and Tableau.
    • Translate analyses into clearly communicated insights via slides, documents, or emails.
  • Leadership Development:
    • Manage work independently with initial direction from a manager.
    • Contribute ideas, ask questions, and express your point of view.
  • Client Management:
    • Understand the client’s business/industry and how your work connects to broader goals.
    • Aim to be the best interaction of the client’s day.
    • Support the development of client-facing solutions and deliverables, including PowerPoint pitches and competitive/landscape audits.

Qualifications

We’re looking for motivated candidates eager to learn and bring transferable skills to our team. Prior professional experience is not required. Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Ability to think critically, break down problems, and propose solutions (through academic projects, internships, volunteer, or work experiences).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to share ideas effectively in group projects, presentations, or customer-facing interactions.
  • Consistently produces accurate, thorough, and organized work.
  • Able to work well with others and manage interactions with peers, instructors, teammates, or external stakeholders in a respectful, professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks or projects and complete them with limited supervision.
  • Examples of leadership, initiative, or ownership in academic, extracurricular, or work settings.
  • Familiarity with basic tools such as MS Office, Google Workspace, or similar software.

Pay

For this entry-level Analyst position, the base salary is $60,000. In addition, there is an annual bonus opportunity of up to 10% of base salary ($6,000).
