About the role
The deals office drives the evaluation and structure of all recorded music and music publishing deals to enable long-term growth. You'll partner with global business leaders to assess opportunities that balance creativity with commercial value, strengthening our market position and shareholder value.
Responsibilities
- Query, transform, and analyze large financial datasets related to WMG’s artists and songwriters, synthesizing insights and strategic recommendations for senior collaborators.
- Create reports, dashboards, and other intelligence tools to support financial decisions and deal valuation modeling.
- Maintain data standards in WMG’s internal deal intelligence platform and give to analytics feature development.
- Monitor and manage WMG’s global deal pipeline, ensuring compliance with all governance and due diligence requirements.
- Leverage generative and agentic AI to improve the speed and efficiency of our insights and reporting workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Sciences, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience querying, transforming, and wrangling large financial datasets.
- Familiarity with data visualization and dashboarding tools (Tableau, Streamlit, Plotly Dash, etc).
- Excellent strategic and business acumen, with the ability to communicate clear recommendations to stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency with spreadsheet (Excel / Google Sheets) and presentation (PowerPoint / Google Slides) tools.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of artist and songwriter monetization channels, royalties, and other music industry financial processes is highly preferred.
- Experience conducting data analysis with Python.
- Advanced proficiency in advanced statistical analysis (regression, hypothesis testing, causal inference, etc.).

- Experience leveraging generative and agentic AI tools to boost productivity in financial settings.

$89,000 to $110,000 Annually
