Analyst, Billing

About the role

Responsibilities

• Weekly billing analysis and reconciliation responsibility for multiple clients
• Identify, report, and reconcile electronic invoicing transmissions
• Monitor payment status and manage the resolution and resubmission of failed or rejected invoices
• Support post-billing recovery efforts by researching and resolving outstanding balances, coordinating collections activities, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to improve invoice recovery and reduce aged receivables
• Maintain communication with the IT department and clients regarding electronic invoice transmissions
• Analyze submitted invoices via client portal or other client reports to identify completeness of payment
• Resolve root causes of incomplete transactions with key internal and external stakeholders including Client, Client Solutions, IT, Support, Finance, Operations, Billing Teams, and Advanced Solutions Team
• Project manage issues to completion
• Partner with Finance to resolve issues with aging accounts that may or may not be related to electronic billing
• Report weekly to leadership on all open issues and dollar amounts by client, showing progress made and next action items scheduled
• Work with Advanced Solutions team to identify, improve, and implement effective process change
• Manage and monitor improvement actions to measure success of changes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• 1-year analysis experience
• Experience with Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, advanced experience with Excel
• 2+ years of analysis experience in a financial or transportation related field
• Experience working with EDI 210 Billing is preferred
• Experience with SQL and Excel analysis is preferred
