Location: Vicksburg, Mississippi
About the Role
Works with functional managers to define scope and objectives of a wide variety of analytical projects including operational telemetry data, work management group reporting/analysis, large construction metrics, and Incident Response activities. This position can be filled as an Analyst I through Senior Analyst, depending on qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain files, records, reports, maps, charts, etc.
- Perform all phases of computer clerical support for assigned department.
- Manage calendar, schedule events, travel arrangements, departmental meetings, and arrange conference calls.
- Manage correspondence and routine documents and presentations with minimal direction.
- Prepare documents, spreadsheets, presentations, interoffice correspondence, and copies.
- Conduct complex business and financial analysis based on project scope and objectives; develop policy recommendations for management based on findings.
- Perform contract manager’s accrual responsibilities according to company policies and SOX requirements; failure to comply could result in significant Sarbanes-Oxley violations.
- Accrue all contract work that meets the set accrual threshold.
- Work with management on fixed asset reporting requirements to ensure compliance.
- Provide full range of contract administration actions for assigned projects, including reviewing contracts, performing analyses, providing accrual/fixed asset data, and resolving issues.
- Serve in an integral role in planning and execution of contract agreements for projects.
- Organize and maintain records management systems (physical and digital); ensure compliance with retention and security requirements; manage access to records; and provide staff guidance on proper records handling and retrieval procedures.
- Perform various additional duties or assignments as requested by senior management.
- Be available to work additional hours, alternate locations, and/or perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field required, or equivalent work experience. Master's Degree preferred.
- Analytical skill set with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Professional experience requirements vary by level:
- Analyst I: 0-2 years
- Analyst II: 2-4 years
- Analyst III: 4-6 years
- Senior Analyst: At least 6 years
- Travel up to 25%.
