Responsibilities
- Partner with client stakeholders and technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical documentation
- Aid in documenting data requirements, business rules, and functional specifications
- Create and maintain source-to-target mapping documents and other project artifacts
- Support backlog refinement by breaking business requirements into actionable work items
- Participate in requirements workshops and design discussions
- Develop and execute test cases to validate data quality and business requirements
- Perform data validation using SQL queries and other analytical techniques
- Investigate data issues, document findings, and collaborate with engineers to resolve defects
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and production validation activities
- Verify that delivered data assets meet business and governance requirements
- Work closely with data engineers, architects, and project leadership throughout the development lifecycle
- Track work, communicate project status, and identify potential risks or blockers
- Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes and project documentation
- Demonstrate professionalism, curiosity, and ownership while working with client teams
Qualifications
- 0 to 3 years of professional experience or relevant internship experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize information and document technical concepts clearly
- Experience with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SQL or relational databases is preferred
- Interest in data, technology consulting, or business analysis
- Comfortable learning new technologies and working in fast-paced project environments
- Demonstrated curiosity, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, or similar analytics tools
- Exposure to Agile project delivery
- Coursework or projects involving databases, analytics, or data visualization
Pay and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $62,000 to $85,000 or the hourly equivalent.
