About the role

The Analyst I position involves performing analytical and consultative work related to the intake, review, and processing of appeals. Key responsibilities include interpreting and applying regulations, maintaining case files in ProLaw, scheduling hearings, coordinating interpreters and court reporters, securing hearing facilities, and managing transcript requests. The incumbent also supports operational functions such as human resources and collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and one year of experience in a related field. Specific experience in health care or administrative roles is preferred. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook is desirable.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $3,861.00 - $4,839.00 A, with potential for higher ranges depending on experience. Temporary salary reductions may apply due to the Personal Leave Program 2025.

Schedule

This position is eligible for hybrid telework, allowing up to three days per week, with a requirement to report in person at least two days per week. The exact telework arrangement is determined by the Department and may change based on DHCS' Telework Program and Government Code sections 14200 – 14203.
