Analyst, Alternative Investments Shareholder Reporting
About the role
The Role Are you interested in joining a collaborative, operations-focused team? Do you have strong knowledge and experience preparing or auditing financial statements for alternative investment products? In this role you will prepare the production of financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory, product-specific requirements and internal quality standards. Products in scope may include BDCs, Limited Partnerships and REITs with investments in alternative asset classes. Your ability to work within an operations team and to meet deadlines will be essential to our success in delivering high-quality financial reporting for Fidelity’s Investment Products. You will also participate and/or lead operational efficiencies to scale and automate processes to support a growing line of products with diverse investments and structures. The role will interact with many groups within the Fidelity organization and effectively represent the business to customers and business partners.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the production of financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory, product-specific requirements and internal quality standards.
- Work within an operations team and meet deadlines to deliver high-quality financial reporting for Fidelity’s Investment Products.
- Participate and/or lead operational efficiencies to scale and automate processes to support a growing line of products with diverse investments and structures.
- Interact with many groups within the Fidelity organization and effectively represent the business to customers and business partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree expected
- 3+ years of financial services experience with an asset manager, audit firm or custodian bank, preferably in accounting operations or administration for alt investment products
- Accounting and operational knowledge for alternative asset classes (e.g., commodities, real estate, private debt, private equity, distressed securities, derivatives, cryptocurrencies)
- Experience preparing financial statements and related content for 10-K and 10-Q filings for products structured as BDCs, ETPs or REITs
- Able to effectively collaborate with all levels of staff and business partners to recommend changes to systems, processes, responsibilities, reporting, etc.
- Strong computer and application skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
