Analyst 1 Financial

About the role

The Financial Analyst develops and disseminates annual budgets, long-range forecasts, projections, and margin analysis. They assist in creating tools for the planning and analysis process, maintaining and modifying spreadsheet tools, and evaluating new acquisition candidates financially. The role involves assembling monthly reports of key operating statistics from departmental data, preparing and distributing monthly scoreboard reports, and maintaining, updating, and modifying the TM/1 database.

Responsibilities

• Develop and disseminate annual budgets, long-range forecasts, projections, and margin analysis.
• Assist in the development of tools used in the planning and analysis process, including maintenance and modification of spreadsheet tools.
• Perform financial evaluations of new acquisition candidates.
• Assemble monthly reports of key operating statistics from data supplied by each department.
• Prepare and distribute monthly scoreboard reports.
• Maintain, update, and modify the TM/1 database.

Requirements

• Two to five years of financial analysis experience.
• Proficiency in Hyperion, Cognos, TM/1, or Q modeling.
• Previous database management experience.
• Technical and professional skills in financial analysis, including the ability to develop financial plans and perform tests to ensure financial strength.
• Proficiency in Excel and Access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration/Accounting, or Finance.
