About the role
The Advisor Mastery Program (AMP) at Raymond James Financial is a comprehensive education for new Advisors, combining distance learning, apprenticeship, and training. It focuses on building a robust practice, providing clients with sound financial advice, and fostering personal and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Become trained and skilled to effectively and efficiently perform the Financial Advisor role.
- Maintain and manage the full scope of a client relationship, including evaluating financial needs, investment opportunities, and available investment capital.
- Communicate portfolio losses to clients while maintaining client loyalty.
- Identify and engage in various networking and community initiatives to develop a client pipeline.
- Recommend investment products, solutions, and services suitable for clients based on their needs, time horizons, risk profiles, and preferences.
- Seek expertise from internal resources to identify investment opportunities and solutions for clients.
- Manage customer accounts, monitor portfolios, and make recommendations based on economic and financial conditions.
- Complete required program training, obtain necessary licenses, and meet performance and production standards.
- Stay updated on investment products, industry rules and regulations, and financial planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university preferred with at least three (3) years of relevant working experience in sales or a business environment.
- SIE required, and must be obtained within four (4) months from the start of the program.
- Series 7 and Series 66 or the ability to obtain them within four (4) months from the start of the program.
- Life, Health, and Variable Annuity or the ability to obtain them within six (6) months from the start of the program.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices.
- Understanding of financial markets, banking, and financial data analysis and reporting.
- Basic principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
- Familiarity with Raymond James’ working structure, policies, mission, strategies, and compliance guidelines.
- Skills in operating client relationship manager systems and other required software applications.
- Ability to identify customer needs through effective questioning and listening techniques.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Continuous learning in investment products, industry rules and regulations, and financial planning.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with all organizational levels.
- Ability to network in the community and market Raymond James.
- Resilience and persistence in the face of obstacles.

Pay
The total compensation for this position includes base salary or wages, and may include components such as additional compensation (cash or equity), discretionary bonuses, or commissions.
