$25.73 an hour + $1.00 shift differential

The safe and efficient operation of the ammonia refrigeration system
Develops Technical Skills
To become a certified refrigeration operator
Responsibilities
- Aid in the daily operation and monitoring of the ammonia refrigeration system
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report abnormal conditions
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities
- Learn to safely operate and maintain compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, and associated equipment
- Participate in Process Safety Management and safety programs
- Maintain accurate logs, records, and maintenance documentation
- Respond to refrigeration system alarms and assist with troubleshooting efforts
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams
- Participate in on-call rotations following training
Ingredients Required for Success
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong communication skills
- Technical school coursework or experience in industrial maintenance, heating ventilation and air conditioning, electrical, or mechanical systems
- One year of industrial refrigeration or maintenance experience
- Mechanical aptitude and commitment to continuous learning
- Strong commitment to safety practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic understanding of refrigeration principles (preferred)
- Experience using hand and power tools (preferred)
- Experience troubleshooting closed loop mechanical refrigeration systems (preferred)
- Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator certification or Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator certification (preferred)
- Operator 1 or Operator 2 training (preferred)
Physical Requirements
Being on your feet, walking around the facility, climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time
Frequent lifting, pushing or carrying materials
