Refrigeration & Ammonia Technician
Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintains and troubleshoots evaporators, heat exchangers, liquid ammonia transfer pumps, purging system, pump-out system, circulation pumps, makeup equipment, valves & condensers.
- Maintenance and repair of compressed air systems.
- Maintenance and repair of glycol system.
- Water treatment, including but not limited to chemical testing, reverse osmosis system operation and de-aeration system operation and maintenance.
- Boiler system maintenance, including pump/motor replacement & alignment.
- Required involvement in safety response team.
Requirements
- Degree in HVAC or equivalent from a technical school or college, or minimum 3 years’ experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems and components.
- Able to work well with others in a team environment and possess excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- Able to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong mechanical skills, complete confined space training and successfully pass respirator fit testing.
- Able to pass a post-offer drug screening, occupational health exam and background check.
