AML Relational Risk Consultant

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Financial Crimes / AML Relationship Risk Consultant to join their team. As a Financial Crimes / AML Relationship Risk Consultant, you will be part of the Compliance Department supporting regional and global initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Financial Crimes / AML Relationship Risk Consultant Location:Minneapolis, Minnesota Pay Range: $45-52/hr What's the Job? Lead the periodic review process by drafting relationship memos, facilitating compliance calls, analyzing transaction activities, and escalating higher risk issues for correspondent payment and clearing customers in Latin America and the United States. Evaluate the strength of financial institution client AML/CFT and sanctions compliance programs through analysis of control environments and institutional risk appetite. Proactively identify risk issues and collaborate with relationship managers and senior risk officers to develop, document, and implement effective action plans. Stay informed about industry and regional trends related to compliance issues, financial crimes, and regulatory actions to ensure ongoing adherence and risk mitigation. Ensure complete, accurate, and timely documentation of customer data within the customer risk management system to support compliance efforts. What's Needed? 4+ years of experience in Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Fraud, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery, or related fields, demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education. Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not mandatory. Experience supporting customer due diligence and managing AML/CFT risks, especially in the Latin American region. Knowledge of the FFIEC Exam Manual, CAMS certification, or other financial crimes certifications is desirable. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. What's in it for me?
