Responsibilities
- Review customer transaction records with a focus on cash activity exceeding regulatory reporting thresholds.
- Analyze account behavior and transaction trends to detect unusual or potentially suspicious patterns.
- Prepare and support required documentation for reportable currency transactions submitted to regulators.
- Investigate customer files thoroughly to confirm the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial activity records.
- Use data analysis techniques to evaluate large volumes of transaction information and surface meaningful risk indicators.
- Partner with compliance and operational stakeholders to escalate findings and support anti-money laundering controls.
- Maintain clear audit-ready records of reviews, conclusions, and supporting evidence for each case.
Requirements
- Experience in financial analysis within banking, compliance, or a related regulated environment.
- Knowledge of anti-money laundering principles and transaction monitoring practices.
- Ability to assess transactional data and recognize patterns associated with reportable or suspicious activity.
- Strong analytical skills, including data mining and ad hoc financial review capabilities.
- Proficiency in investigating discrepancies and drawing well-supported conclusions from account activity.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage sensitive information accurately and confidentially.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Pay
Compensation and benefits will be determined based on experience and qualifications.

The position is for a long-term contract based in Bridgewater, New Jersey.
