IT Risk (AML) Analyst

The Work Itself

Knowledge of the laws applicable to money laundering, including the BSA, The Patriot Act, U.S. Treasury AML guidelines, OFAC requirements, and Suspicious Activity Reporting requirements.

• Conduct AML Investigations consistent with Ally (SAR) policy and Investigation's procedures as well as Ally risk philosophy.
• Conduct EDD reviews consistent with Ally policy and procedures utilizing internal risk driver reports, negative news inquiries, public domain research, and additional internal and external tools.
• Conduct background investigations as required.
• Perform extensive, complex investigations and be responsible for investigations across all business lines.
• Prepare and complete accurate and comprehensive narratives as well as supporting documentation.
• Perform account/transaction research as needed and identify trends that could implicate potential money laundering or terrorist financing.
• Maintain a high level of productivity meeting or exceeding the daily team production expectation.
• Follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Stay apprised of regulatory matters and developments through regular review of appropriate compliance publications and websites and by participating in relevant compliance conferences and other training events.
• Apply knowledge of company policies and standard practices to resolve problems.
• Analyze issues and use judgment to make decisions.
• Escalate non-standard problems or issues.

Skills You Bring

• 1+ years of financial crimes compliance experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree or related work experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload and balance multiple duties and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work both independently and cooperatively on project teams.
• Proficiency in MS applications: (Microsoft Office).
