About the Role

Develops the foundation of a robust enterprise architecture; defines and supports the implementation of modern data platforms, methodologies, programs, processes, standards, organization structure, metrics, and data structures to support and grow our business. Works in close collaboration with senior business and technology leadership to drive strategic data programs across the organization, including the definition and implementation of a data and analytics strategy and roadmap. Drives and enables our data capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for architectural effectiveness of data-related initiatives within the organization.
  • Operationalizes and facilitates programs or Centers of Excellence (COE) for Data Platform Governance, multiple end-user platform Governance (Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive), Data Quality, Data Security, and Data Platform usage standards and patterns.
  • Aligns enterprise data platform architecture with business and technology strategy and roadmaps; communicates to business and technical partners across multiple levels within the organization.
  • Defines and establishes technical strategy, standards, roadmaps, and guidelines in the data platform architecture domain in collaboration with other architects.
  • Defines conceptual data platform architecture diagrams in support of large, complex, and cross-capability-area initiatives.
  • Defines and implements data platform architecture principles, standards, and patterns using established Enterprise Architecture governance processes and frameworks.
  • Designs data solutions addressing specific business capabilities and non-functional requirements.
  • Identifies and leads selection and implementation of data platforms in support of Modern Data Architecture and multiple end-use cases.
  • Creates solutions to advance and optimize the enterprise data infrastructure.
  • Defines Modern Data Architecture leveraging public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, along with Big Data, Microservices, and Advanced Analytics lifecycle management capabilities.
  • Collaborates, educates, and mentors architects and technical leaders on modern data architecture practices; partners with business and IT to define transitional and target state data architectures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Strong technical skills in process management and problem-solving.
  • Varied experience implementing all aspects of Data Management, including Data/Big Data, Data Quality, Data Modeling, Data Governance, Data Integration/ETL, Metadata Management, and Data Security.
  • Enterprise experience working with modern data architecture efforts, with subject matter expertise in varying technology and business disciplines.
  • Experience strategizing, designing, and implementing secure, governed, and cost-efficient data platforms in the cloud.
  • Financial industry experience; compatible domain experience will be considered.
  • Experience with BSA/AML tools, preferably with Actimize.
  • Proficiency in leveraging data technologies such as Snowflake, Matillion, Talend, Power BI, and ThoughtSpot.
  • Experience supporting regulated workloads (SOX, PCI, HIPAA, GDPR, OCC, etc.).
  • Proven success in planning, influencing, and leading initiatives across engineering and business organizations.
  • Strong SQL knowledge, performance optimization, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Pay

Salary range: $104,000–$174,000. The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based incentive opportunity.
