AML Compliance Analyst Basic

About the role

We are seeking an AML Compliance Analyst to join our dynamic team for a 6-month contract in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AML risk standards, quality analysis of alert dispositions, and investigation documentation, and a proven ability to render risk-based determinations while ensuring complete, accurate case records.

Responsibilities

• Interpret AML risk standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Perform quality analysis to determine whether alerts were properly cleared by Compliance Alerts Analysts.
• Validate that alert and case data are accurately collected and documented, including investigations data, SARs, CTRs, and KYC information.
• Review relevant account and transaction data to support investigative conclusions.

Requirements

• Knowledge of AML frameworks, including SAR and CTR requirements and KYC standards.
• Strong research, analytical, and comprehension skills with the ability to analyze large data sets.
• Accuracy in documentation and attention to detail in case evidence and narratives.
• 1–3 years of experience in AML compliance, investigations, or alert quality assurance.
