About the role
The Kentucky College Coach program is an AmeriCorps program administered by Serve Kentucky and Kentucky Campus Compact and funded by AmeriCorps, the Agency. The Kentucky College Coach will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and community partners to help increase the capacity for institutions to help students persist and graduate through direct mentoring/coaching/tutoring, support of high-impact practices, and/or providing service to others (on- or off-campus community service).
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and community partners to help increase the capacity for institutions to help students persist and graduate.
- Provide direct mentoring/coaching/tutoring to students.
- Support the implementation of high-impact practices.
- Engage in on- or off-campus community service.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Mentoring experience
Qualifications
- At least 17 years old
- A U.S. Citizen, U.S. national, or legal permanent resident alien
- Pass a National Service Criminal History Check
