American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter Consultant

Our Early Intervention programs provide services to families with children birth to 3 years of age with developmental delays or at risk for developmental delays. The primary focus of early intervention is to provide education, training, and support to families to help their children learn and grow. We provide home and center-based services.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpreting for families
• Facilitate communication between parents/caregivers and early intervention staff
• Schedule visits for early intervention staff
• Provide interpreting services for early intervention visits including intake, evaluation, and home visits

Requirements

• Verbal fluency in both English and the language of the specific population served
• Interpreting experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for in-person interpreting services
• Understanding of interpreter role in encouraging and fostering direct communication between provider and parent/caregiver

Pay

$25–30 per hour
