AMD Software Product Owner

Responsibilities

• Prioritization and validation of the development software for the Infrastructure Services & Libraries (ISL) team.
• Reviewing/understanding Systems Engineering concepts/designs/algorithms and providing guidance to the development team.
• Support the team in the development of acceptance criteria for software updates and be responsible for their verification.
• Work with Program Management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint.

Requirements

• Candidate must be a US Citizen.
• Candidate must be obtain or be able to obtain a SECRET Security clearance or higher.
• The candidate will need to have a good understanding of at least some of the following: Ansible and/or other scripting languages; data logging and archiving best practices; weapon system component health & status reporting best practices; the DDS standard; C++ and Java code.
• The candidate must be able to work directly with the Agile software developers.
• The candidate must be fluent in Microsoft Office tools.
• The candidate must have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a bachelor's degree, or an advanced degree, from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, sciences, or mathematics.
• The candidate must have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.

Skills

• Knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS is a plus.
• The candidate should have the ability to “move out” and champion ideas, architectures, designs, enthusiasm; independent critical thinking; and a team attitude.
• Experience in JIRA/Confluence is a plus.
