Part-time schedule: Monday 4:00 pm–9:00 pm, Tuesday 4:00 pm–9:00 pm, Thursday 4:00 pm–9:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am–5:30 pm.

About the role

Emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention while assisting patients and families to move rapidly, uneventfully, safely, and as effectively as possible through their episode of care. Delegates, oversees, and provides quality, safe, and developmentally appropriate patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing care using a Family-Centered approach.
  • Assesses individualized patient needs and plans, implements, educates, and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
  • Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with regulatory and policy compliance.
  • Works closely with providers and other team members to ensure smooth clinic flow, addressing patient/parent concerns and attaining positive patient and family outcomes.
  • Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Engages in the “workplace community” by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings; reports important information and updates back to staff.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school (required).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred). Must successfully complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio (required).
  • Three years of pediatric clinical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred).

Physical Requirements

  • Occasionally: Biohazard waste, climb stairs/ladder, color vision, driving motor vehicles (work required), electricity, fumes/gases/vapors, lifting/carrying 41–60 lbs, loud noises, machinery, power tools, pushing/pulling 100 lbs or greater with assistance, pushing/pulling 61–100 lbs, seeing (far/near).
  • Frequently: Bend/twist, blood and/or bodily fluids, chemicals/medications, communicable diseases and/or pathogens, depth perception, flexing/extending of neck, hand use (grasping, gripping, turning), patient equipment, peripheral vision, pushing/pulling 0–25 lbs, pushing/pulling 26–40 lbs, pushing/pulling 41–60 lbs, reaching above shoulder, sitting, squat/kneel.
  • Continuously: Audible speech, computer skills, decision making, hearing acuity, interpreting data, lifting/carrying 0–10 lbs, lifting/carrying 11–20 lbs, lifting/carrying 21–40 lbs, problem solving, repetitive hand/arm use, standing, walking.
