Ambulatory Care Rep (Voorhees, NJ/Fox Chase Cancer Center)(40 hrs)

Responsibilities

• Manage all patient access functions in Ambulatory Care, including patient check‑in/check‑out, registration activities, insurance verification, referral determinations, active account verification, and patient demographic entry and verification.
• Schedule new and follow‑up appointments, laboratory and diagnostic services, and chemotherapy treatment using direct patient interaction and multiple electronic scheduling worklists.
• Rotate through all point‑of‑service areas within the department, learning and applying area‑specific processes.
• Perform all activities in accordance with departmental and institutional protocols.
• Accept responsibility and accountability for outpatient function assignments under the direction of the Manager, Ambulatory Care Operations.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent (required). Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Experience

• Three (3) years of experience in a related role.
• Related experience in a fast‑paced, professional customer‑service environment may be considered in conjunction with healthcare experience or a Bachelor’s degree in lieu of the three years.
