Ambulatory Care Flex Team - Registered Nurse, Level II

Job Location: 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, New York, 14642. Opening Work Shift: UR – Day (United States of America).

About the role

Under the direction of leadership, provide competent direct patient care based on established standards, contribute to unit activities, support enhancement of the care delivery system, and support peers in patient care services. The role may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in ambulatory and procedural care areas.
• Perform clinic visits, pre‑intra‑post procedure care, telephone triage, and care coordination.
• Support unit activities and contribute to care delivery system improvements.
• Assist peers and may serve as charge nurse, preceptor, or committee member.
• Demonstrate strong assessment and communication skills, proactive autonomous decision‑making, and good organizational abilities.
• Show flexibility and ability to work in fast‑paced environments.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (implied by role).
• Strong assessment and communication skills.

• Flexibility and ability to thrive in fast‑paced settings.
• Previous experience in an outpatient or procedural area preferred but not required.
• Open to experienced nurses or those interested in the Ambulatory Care Nurse Residency program.

Pay

The compensation range for this position is $37.12 – $50.11 per hour. Individual rates will be set within this range based on market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity.

Schedule

Full‑time and part‑time positions are available. Work shift is day time (UR – Day). Assignments are temporary, ranging from 8 to 16 weeks to support staffing needs in ambulatory patient care clinics.
