About the role

This position provides independent advanced level clinical expertise to patients and their families, manages scheduling, time off requests, and oversees other advanced practice providers. Responsibilities

• Manage scheduling and time off requests for APPs
• Oversee the competence and qualifications of direct reports
• Collaborate with the APP manager for hiring, on-boarding, and counseling
• Act as an expert resource for healthcare providers, including nurses, residents, and other staff
• Support health research and teaching programs
• Assist in establishing educational opportunities for APPs
• Act as a liaison for APP-supported services and the PCS Chief of Advanced Practice
• Provide practice supervision for all APP FTE assigned
• Act in the absence of the program manager
• Provide support for the APP direct reports
• Provide direct patient care to a diverse patient population
• Apply knowledge, experience, and judgment to determine the importance of a situation and evaluate clinical situations
• Apply judgment skills to meet the needs of patients
