Ambassador - Part-Time, Saturday & Sunday - 1st & 3rd Shift available
Job Summary
Ambassadors will provide staffing for the Information Desks, Emergency Department Desks, Pedway Cart, and ICU waiting rooms as needed, as well as rounding new patient rooms in the hospital. Improve patient satisfaction by rounding new patient rooms providing patients with information, while also evaluating any concerns from the patient. Educate patient and families on service excellence survey expectations. Perform Guest Relations duties, including, but not limited to rounding new patient rooms, greeting/salutations, wheelchair assistance, assist valet services as needed, maintenance of first impression areas, driveway traffic control, directions/information, assisting visitors, and all other duties as directed. The Ambassador serves as a liaison to patients and their families and the medical staff. Provide medical information, updates, counseling and crisis intervention for Trauma Services, the Adult and Children's Emergency Department, and the Intensive Care Units.
About the Role
The Ambassador is responsible for all duties not requiring a commissioned officer to perform, including, but not limited to, escorts, rounding new patient rooms, and Medical Mall transport. Educate patient and families on service excellence survey expectations. Ambassadors will perform Guest Services duties, including, but not limited to, greeting/salutations, wheelchair assistance, assist valet services as needed, maintenance of first impression areas, driveway traffic control, directions/information, assisting visitors, and all other duties as directed. Ambassadors will provide staffing for the Information Desks, Emergency Department Desks, Pedway Cart, and rounding patient rooms as needed. Ambassadors assigned to these areas must be skilled in the use of multiple computer systems such as IBEX, Invision, and Net Access, responsible for the accuracy of the input of the required information, and responsible for staffing the computer as assigned. Ambassadors in all areas must have the ability to handle a fast paced, high stress environment.

Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- BLS completed prior to going to unit/department and maintained going forward.
- Good oral and written communication skills; presentations skills.
- Possess strong customer service skills.
- Excellent analytical skills, including analysis, planning, organizing, and troubleshooting.

- High School graduate or equivalent.

Department Position Summary
The Ambassador Lead Person at Medical Mall will be responsible for the coverage of 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts Monday-Friday, as well as both weekend shifts on Sat. & Sunday, when someone is ill or on vacation. The Lead Person must collect all KRONOS and PTO requests and forward to Supervisor. Other duties for the Lead Person include ordering supplies for their area through Dept Supervisor, and work with the Ambassadors in their area concerning the timely completion of HLC's and TB Skin tests.
