Ambassador - Food and Nutrition -Part-Tme Evenings, Varied Shifts, Weekends Required

Whether building meaningful relationships with patients and their families, working back of the house to prepare patient meals on the tray line, or working the Food Cart, the Ambassador cultivates good health, healing and comfort while ensuring a welcoming environment day after day.
About the role
Serve as a valued member of the team and provide essential support and superior customer service to our patients and their families. Maintain a culture of compassion, caring and safety to help ensure a positive experience for every patient, every time. Gain a rewarding experience in working in various capacities including preparing meals daily and serving meals to patients directly.
This is a part-time/varied shift position with flexibility from 4pm – 8:00pm plus every other weekend and holiday required at NYP Westchester located in Bronxville; right across from the Metro North Station.
Responsibilities
- Prepare meals daily
- Serve meals to patients directly
- Provide essential support and superior customer service to patients and their families
- Maintain a culture of compassion, caring, and safety
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Knowledge of C-Bord computer system and palm pilots
- Service Safe Certificate (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with food handling
- Prior experience in an institutional setting

Pay
Salary Range: $28.88/hourly
Schedule
- Part-time, varied shifts (4pm – 8:00pm)
- Every other weekend and holiday required
Please note that this role requires on-site presence, so all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
