Amazon Dedicated Cloud Engineer, Region Reliability Engineering
About the role
AWS Region Reliability Engineering & Automation offers the entrepreneurial feel of a start-up within one of the world’s most advanced cloud organizations. You’ll work with a team that believes in tackling hard problems, growing expertise, and driving a more reliable and resilient future for AWS’s largest government customers.
Responsibilities
- Enhance Regional Reliability: Expand regional coverage for AWS’s critical services.
- Deep Dive and Troubleshoot: Conduct deep dives into system and service interdependencies, proactively identifying and resolving region-specific challenges before they impact mission-critical operations.
- Mentorship and Growth: Collaborate with industry-recognized engineers, engaging in continuous learning and contributing to a culture of excellence and reliability.
- Support National Security: Partner with U.S. Intelligence and Defense agencies to ensure mission resilience, implementing secure, reliable, and scalable cloud solutions.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+
- 1+ years Linux systems administration experience
- 1+ years technical troubleshooting / support experience
- 1+ years of networking experience
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
Qualifications
- 1+ years of cloud computing technologies experience
- 1+ years of computer networking experience, or experience in networking
- 1+ years of support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments experience
- Experience debugging, diagnosing, and troubleshooting complex, production software issues
- Experience using data, reporting, or tools to measure performance and make adjustments accordingly
