Amada Press Brake operator

About the role

The Amada HRB 2204 is a high-performance, 243-ton hydraulic press brake capable of bending parts up to 12 feet long.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate the Amada CNC Press Brake
• Be familiar with tooling
• Work with all types of metals
• Safely operate the assigned Amada Press Brake using proper techniques and methods
• Properly and efficiently set up the Amada Press Brake for each scheduled job
• Follow all directions as noted on the Job Traveler
• Ensure all parts processed on the assigned Press Brake meet customer-required quality levels
• Report all issues to the Shift Manager and/or Quality Assurance personnel
• Maintain proper housekeeping around the assigned Press Brake
• Empty trash from the assigned table at the end of every shift
• Follow the daily production schedule as noted on the Scheduling Board and communicate any delays to the Programmer/Scheduler
• Complete all production paperwork for each job processed on the assigned Waterjet cutting table
• Properly document all spare parts taken from the Parts Bins
• Ensure all completed parts and associated Travelers are taken to the proper Shipping Location for final review

Physical Effort

Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds.

Must be able to prioritize own workday schedule.

Recommended Training/Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
• Safety training including, but not limited to, Hazardous Communication, Lockout Tagout, Eye Safety, and Fire Evacuation
