Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Amada press brake machines (RG, HRB, & HG) to produce metal parts according to engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup and production requirements.
- Select, install, and align appropriate tooling, dies, and fixtures for each job.
- Perform first-piece inspections and ensure all parts meet dimensional and visual quality standards.
- Adjust machine settings and offsets as needed to maintain consistent quality and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate production records, including setup times, quantities, and inspection results.
- Monitor machine operation and report malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor or maintenance department.
- Handle material safely and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Follow all safety protocols and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- 2+ years of experience operating an Amada press brake (required).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and setup sheets.
- Experience with Amada CNC controls (e.g., HG, HRB, RG or newer systems) a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of metal types, thicknesses, and bend allowances.
- Basic math and measurement skills using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
- Willingness to work 1st or 2nd shift and occasional overtime as required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and manual handling of sheet metal materials.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery and measuring equipment.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, metal materials, and industrial noise.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
