CNC Press Brake Technician (Amada Systems)

About the role

The CNC Press Brake Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining Amada press brake systems to fabricate metal components according to engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC press brakes to bend and form metal sheets to precise specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Set up and adjust press brakes as needed for different metal thicknesses and materials.
• Perform quality checks on fabricated parts to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in metal fabrication or related field.
• Knowledge of Amada press brake systems and associated tools.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Good physical condition to perform manual labor and work in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with basic metalworking tools such as hammers, files, and measuring devices.
• Basic understanding of computer-aided design (CAD) software.
