About the role
The CNC Press Brake Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining Amada press brake systems to fabricate metal components according to engineering drawings.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC press brakes to bend and form metal sheets to precise specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Set up and adjust press brakes as needed for different metal thicknesses and materials.
- Perform quality checks on fabricated parts to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in metal fabrication or related field.
- Knowledge of Amada press brake systems and associated tools.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Good physical condition to perform manual labor and work in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Experience with basic metalworking tools such as hammers, files, and measuring devices.
- Basic understanding of computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Skills
- Proficiency with Amada press brake systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
