Responsibilities
- Ensure proper service from the front line through quality control, training of line cooks, and adherence to sanitation policies.
- Monitor line setup before meal functions to maximize efficiency during service periods.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and kitchen cleanliness to maintain strict adherence to standards.
- Prepare food items according to recipe cards and production standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Manage par levels, prepare food ahead of time, and restock buffets as needed.
- Assist in addressing food cost issues, minimizing waste, and adhering to standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of relevant experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs frequently.
- Full range of mobility and ability to travel 30-50 feet daily.
- Continuous standing for extended periods.
- Must be able to hear equipment timers and communicate effectively.
- Must be able to read and write clearly.
