Alumni Engagement Host / Tour Guide

About the role

The West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) seeks a part-time Alumni Engagement Host/Tour Guide to host and lead "Grad Insider Tours" at West Point. These tours are designed for returning graduates and their guests, offering a unique, personal experience.

Responsibilities

• Host and lead guided tours of West Point for graduates and their guests
• Drive a 14-passenger van, often in tight spaces, while providing audio commentary
• Walk up to two miles during tours
• Engage guests in meaningful conversations, connecting them with their West Point memories
• Ensure guests feel personally welcomed, attended to, and understood

Requirements

• Deep understanding of West Point history, culture, and mission
• Natural and charismatic personality
• Excellent people skills
• Comfortable driving a large vehicle
• Ability to walk up to two miles

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a tour guide is welcome but not required
• Strong people skills are valued above all prior tour guide experience
• Candidates should be West Point graduates or residents on post
• Strong sustained engagement within the West Point community
