Alumni Coordinator

About the Role

Valley Hope of Grapevine, recently voted The Best Treatment Facility in Northeast Tarrant County, is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Alumni Coordinator. Responsibilities

• Acts as a continuum-specific liaison and resource for alumni, fostering long-term relationships with the organization.
• Plans, coordinates, and facilitates alumni and family support activities, including annual, monthly, and quarterly events, to foster ongoing connection, community, and engagement in recovery.
• Maintains alumni database, including family contacts, and communicates regularly with alumni via phone, email, and text message.
• Tracks important alumni sobriety data via documented wellness checks.
• Collaborates with clinical staff to provide and maintain a list of current, temporary sponsor options for discharging patients.
• Meets with each patient group and patient prior to discharge, providing information and opportunity to join the Alumni Program.
• Facilitates workshops to provide an overview of alumni programs and introduce community-based resources.
• Communicates and coordinates with the local admissions team for alumni readmissions.
• Assists with the coordination of Alumni Chapter meetings in various communities with large populations of alumni.
• Maintains a database of alumni volunteers for various roles, including temporary sponsors, Chapter meeting ambassadors, panel discussion participants, and event speakers.
• Contributes content for the CHESS eRecovery app and monitors local activity.
• Creates and maintains a list of alumni support services and resources.
• Hosts registration areas and collects contact information from attendees at facility special events.
• Attends treatment team meetings weekly to collaborate and support aftercare.
• Collaborates with Valley Hope Foundation and facility leadership in the coordination of fundraising activities and alumni development.
• Collaborates and communicates with the Marketing and Business Development Department to generate admissions.
• Travels as needed to facility/event sites/locations.

Requirements

• One (1) year of work experience with an emphasis on office administration or event planning/project management.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification; or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Associate’s degree with a preference for emphasis in Non-Profit Leadership or Business Studies.
• Preferred: Two (2) years’ work experience for a non-profit organization with a preference for emphasis on event planning/project management.

Work Environment

Office setting with traditional hours, though weekend and evening hours may be required. The role involves sitting for extended periods, working at a rapid pace, and occasional lifting/carrying of up to 20 pounds. Travel is estimated at 20-30% of the time.
