Allison Transmission Diesel Technician - Truck Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform engine, brake, drive train, electrical, and A/C repairs on all makes of customer vehicles and equipment.
• Conduct troubleshooting and inspections, including diagnosing causes of non-conformance.
• Inspect engines and transmissions.
• Complete paperwork and repair order documentation.
• Utilize basic computer skills and maintain good verbal communication.
• Assist other technicians as needed and work independently.

Requirements

• Certificate from a college or technical school (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience with Allison Transmissions (required).
• Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations or at-fault accidents in the last 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related convictions (e.g., DUI/DWI) on driving record in the past 5 years.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• CDL is a plus.
• Preferred certifications.

Physical and Safety Requirements

• Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting.
• Regular use of hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally with assistance.
• Implement and enforce health and safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
