About the Role

This role is for an IR Tech responsible for assisting with diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures in a hybrid IR/Cath lab setting.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, circulate, and assist with procedures such as left/right heart catheterizations, stent placements, biopsies, and angiograms.
• Support urgent/emergent procedures, including STEMIs and IR callbacks, with a team of three staff members, including at least one RN.
• Operate advanced equipment like GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, AngioJet, Impella, and ultrasound units.
• Perform EKG lead placement and assist during complex procedures, adhering to sterile techniques.
• Participate in on-call rotations, providing coverage every third week for emergent cases.
• Documentation, charting, and compliance with testing and licensing requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, including IR procedures.
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, ARRT, RCIS or RCES preferred.
• Skills in scrub, circulate, monitor, and assist with various diagnostic/interventional procedures.
• Ability to work independently, handle urgent cases, and communicate effectively.
• Must complete 40 hours of orientation and modules before start.
• Open to floating within/near the facility; travel pairing permitted with disclosure.

Schedule

• 8-hour day shifts.
• No holiday RTO allowed.
• Scheduled weekends every third weekend.
