All Phase Electric - Residential Generator Technician
Job Description
Perform inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of generators and associated equipment (e.g., transfer switches, battery systems).
Support load bank testing and generator performance assessments.
Install and commission new generators and related electrical systems.
Keep detailed records of work performed and parts used.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, vehicles, and job sites.
Follow safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines during all work.
Organize work by receiving and studying work orders; gathering tools and supplies.
Complete special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
What You Need To Succeed
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical school or military experience is a plus).
- At least 1 year experience with servicing residential generators.
- Basic understanding of hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior technicians.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments (indoor/outdoor, noisy, etc.).
- OSHA 10/30 preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot & problem solve.
- Able to complete equipment maintenance.
- Able to pass a drug screening and background check (random testing may occur).

- Field and shop-based work; travel to customer sites may be frequent.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during emergencies or power outages.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
- Comfortable with prolonged periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
Compensation Details
$23.00 - $35.00 per hour + bonus opportunities!
